    • Abstract:
The article focuses on infant mortality in the state of Michigan. Paulette Dunbar, manager of the Maternal, Infant and Family Health section at the Department of Community Health, says that there is huge difference in the health disparity by racial and ethnic groups. Dunbar adds that the state infant mortality rate among African-Americans is higher than the U.S. average. She adds that racism is one social aspect that can affect infant mortality.
