      Local Abstract: [PIP] Indirect methods for measuring fertility and infant and child mortality are applied to data for Kerala, India. The study is based on data from the Infant and Child Mortality Survey conducted in the Sample Registration System units in 1979 and on data from the 1972 Fertility Survey.
