Collection & Resources
The Library Resource Center of Parker University includes four huddle rooms each with a collaborative work area, projectable monitor and dry erase table. Also available are six computers, a printer, and flexible seating. The Library collection consists of over 375,000 ebooks, archival materials, e-journals, and other digital resources. The Ex Libris Primo online catalog is web based and allows library patrons to view status and location of resources in the library. Tutorials are located on the library website to assist users with database information and searching.
The nearly 900 assembly lectures, commencements, and seminars including the founder, Dr. James Parker, are available to Parker students through Alma Digital. The Library houses curriculum enhanced databases, journals, and eBooks through predominant vendors including EBSCO, ProQuest and Gale. Additionally, the Mango database provides over seventy-one languages of language instruction.
The Library collection contains resources including the Basic Sciences, Chiropractic Sciences, Massage, Alternative Medicine, Radiology and Business resources. Reserve materials are for in-house use only. The Library maintains an extensive collection of e-journals which can be accessed through Ex Libris Primo with Parker credentials.

Renew Your Books
You can renew your library books quickly and easily with Primo. Watch the following video to learn how.
You can also renew your library books by emailing us at asklibrary.parker.edu or by calling us at (214) 902-2480.
Recalls
Please note that items may be recalled before the due date if they are needed as a reserve item or by another borrower. Recall notices are sent by email and may include a revised due date, by which the item must be returned.
Borrowers can request that an item be recalled if it is currently on loan. Recalled items are then held for one week, from date of check in, at the circulation desk. Recalling an item prevents the borrower who has the item from renewing it and may reduce the time remaining on their loan. Please note: course reserve items may not be recalled.
Course Reserves
- Although we do not have copies of all course textbooks, we do have many that have been placed on reserves by instructors or are part of the Parker University Library Collection. To determine if your textbook is on reserves, please visit the library in person or you may search for the title in the library catalog.
- Library materials that are on reserves have a more lmited checkout period than the general collection, and some may not be removed from the library.
