Instructional sessions cover a range of library resources and services, can be tailored to specific needs, and can be delivered to groups both large and small. One-on-one appointments are also available. Sessions can include multiple topics, and generally last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on number – and nature – of topics covered.
Current offerings include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
Library resources and services overview
- Basic and advanced database searching (includes PubMed and EBSCO databases)
- Introduction to EBP and research (including PICO question formulation; focus on applying these concepts when performing research)
- Reference management tools (the Library currently provides instruction on Zotero 5.0 reference management software)
Instructional session requests can be submitted by emailing at asklibrary@parker.edu.
